Preamble:

Studying architecture involves an understanding History of Architecture through measured drawing exercises, and most importantly urban studies and contextual design studios. As an attempt to reinforce these subjects, this program intends to create awareness about Living Indian Urban Heritage and gives primary introduction of its important aspects.

Objectives of the program: 

• To create awareness for the Urban Heritage with tangible and intangible perspective.
• To give primary understanding and vision for interpretation of vernacular architecture.
• To introduce the ways and techniques of addressing challenges of the Urban Heritage.

• Awareness in conducting design studios with respect to inseparable thread of Living Urban Heritage in Indian scenario.
• Understanding the language of Living Urban Heritage and interpreting its architectural design aspects.
